Session Moth Martina returns to ICW on December 11th 2016 where she challenges for the ICW Women’s Championship against the current champion Kay Lee Ray. So we asked the women behind Martina, Kazza G, our five questions.

When did you start watching wrestling and was there a moment that got you hooked?

I started watching wrestling when I was really young and was hooked from the days of Stone Cold. I couldn’t remember the point that I started but I lost interest for a while, only to fall back in love with it after discussing the old days, I found myself falling in love with it again and the rest is history.

What made you decide to start training to be a wrestler and where did you start?

I met the promotor of Mainstage Wrestling at a separate Indy show, and I said how I would love to do it but never thought it possible. He brought me down to the school to give it ago and see how I felt about it, and I never stopped going. Even to this day, nearly 7 years later, I still train weekly with MSW and have been taking part in training the up and coming trainees of today.

Who are your biggest influences in professional wrestling?

I have so many but as of late I find myself influenced mostly by my co-workers. Luther Ward and the fellow OTT stars have helped me progress beyond belief. Alongside many of the talented females I’ve had the opportunity to work this year and take something from.

Do you have any favourite matches or opponents that you have worked with?

I wrestled Joey Ryan last weekend, who was so suited to the high character involved with Martina, it was one of the funnest times I’ve had in the ring, on a purely comedy basis, which I love to do. I’ve also wrestled Kay Lee Ray and Kimber Lee who blew me away in the ring and tagging with Nixon Newell was fantastic.

And finally, who would be your dream opponent, past or present?

I have many from the UK scene and independent scene. Ideally it would be Becky Lynch, as I trained with her shortly before she set off for WWE but I never got the chance to wrestle her live. And being the first women from Ireland to wrestle, and the only female from her training school, much like me when I began, I would have to say she would be the dream as she is my biggest inspiration, from way before she joined the fed.
