It was a huge night at the WrestleZone Regal Rumble last night. Lots to talk about in upcoming reviews from Adam and myself. So let’s take a look at five of the biggest talking points coming out of the show at The Northern Hotel in Aberdeen!
Richard R Russell in the Regal Rumble Winner?
Despite having to be dragged to the ring by Bryan Tucker, Bradley Evans and others to actually enter him into the match, Russell took advantage of Damien being distracted by Shawn Johnson and pushed him over the top rope to win the the biggest Regal Rumble in history. Is Richard R Russell going to main event Aberdeen Anarchy X?
New Champions!
Andy Wild told everyone that he was going to be the new WrestleZone Tri-Counties Champion prior to the bell and after catching Johnny Lions with a powerbomb he did just that. Not just a new Tri-Counties Champion but Lou King Sharp and Krieger, aka Proper Mental, defeated The Rejected to win the WrestleZone Tag Team Championships.
The Kings of Catch are in WrestleZone!
Following Proper Mental winning the Tag Team Championships, Aspen Faith entered to attack The Rejected. Lewis Girvan entered looking to make the save but embraced Faith instead and joined in the attack. The Kings of Catch are officially in WrestleZone, joined by ‘The Queen of WrestleZone’ Sammii Jayne makes this The Kingdom of Catch! The tag team division is now on notice.
Santino Marella is coming to Aberdeen Anarchy!
Before the Regal Rumble match, WrestleZone Management Representative Chris MacDonald announced the first name for Aberdeen Anarchy on September 1st. A former WWE Tag Team, United States and Intercontinental Champion, Santino Marella is coming to The Granite City!
Kaden Garrick was the Mystery Entrant!
A lot of speculation on who the mystery entrant would be at the Regal Rumble and it was the returning Kaden Garrick. He wasted no time in reminding people who he is as he speared everyone that came near him. The powerhouse has returned.
Mr Malice Returns!
When Lord Michael of Graham was announced for the rumble, nobody would’ve thought that Mr Malice would be with him. Dressed in a sharp purple suit, while Lord Michael was wearing Lord Alan Sterling’s purple singlet, there was a moment that saw Alan Sterling faced with Lord Michael of Graham while Mr Malice looked on. A very strange moment bringing back memories of the previous ‘Lord’ history in WrestleZone. Lord Michael didn’t last long but we got a confrontation between Mr Malice and Jeeves Winchester before they parted.
A great night of wrestling at The Northern Hotel. Check back for our reviews in the coming days!
